Abigail Launches RESET Project to Strengthen Student Mental Health Support

Lamunu Abigail a student of Human Resource management in year two has introduced the RESET Project in partnership with the HR Association of MUBS, an initiative aimed at supporting students experiencing mental health challenges and promoting emotional well-being within the university community.

According to Lamunu Abigail, the initiative seeks to raise awareness about mental health and emphasise the importance of accessible support systems for students navigating university life.

The project comes at a time when students continue to balance academic demands with personal challenges and concerns about their future. Through RESET, attention is being drawn to the need for universities to create environments where students can openly discuss their struggles and seek appropriate support without fear of stigma.

Beyond academic performance, student well-being remains an important part of the university experience. Initiatives such as RESET highlight the role educational institutions can play in fostering a campus culture that values mental health, understanding and mutual support.

As the project takes shape, its objectives and activities are expected to bring further attention to student mental health and the support available within the MUBS community.
